IN JESUS NAME
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake Psalm 23:3b
Psalm 83:18 tells us:
That men may know that thou, whose name
alone is JEHOVAH, artthe most high over all the earth.
Please do not think that because God's name if JEHOVAH, that
that means I am endorsing the Jehovah's Witnesses. I am not endorsing them. I am simply stating the fact that God's name
is Jehovah.
There is another name I want to talk about. It is the name
of Jesus. The Bible tells in Philippians
2:10:
That at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth;
The paths of righteousness that David talks about in Psalm
23 are the same paths of righteousness that we walk in today. God leads us
through His Holy Spirit, given to us by the power of God. It is all because of Jesus that we have the
blessing of eternal life. Jesus died
that we might have the right to the tree of Life and to have our names written
in the Lamb's Book of Life. Jesus is the
Lamb slain for the sins of the world.
Today, we pray in Jesus Name, because
it is our faith in Jesus that saves us.
We are one with God in Jesus. It
is all because of Jesus. Jesus leads us
in the paths of righteousness because He dwells with us through the Holy
Spirit. Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, and
the Holy Spirit are one. As we follow
the leading of the Holy Spirit we follow Jesus and we also follow God, because
they are one. We become one with them by
faith.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the
Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. 2 Corinthians 4:5.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory
of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to
glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18
2 Corinthians 3:18 is telling us that as we focus on the
glory of the Lord, and follow Him as He leads us, we are changed. We become like the one we are following, in
our hearts. The Spirit of the Lord does
this. And His Spirit leads us in paths
of righteousness, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Psa 23:
[[A Psalm of David.]] The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh
me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth
me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy
rod and thy staff they comfort me.
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness
and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the
house of the LORD for ever.
